37 weeks and counting...

Well, BT and I are 37 weeks along now...(woohoo!) We're both getting anxious ;), but are trying our darndest to hold out for that 40 week due date. I'm just not ready to let go yet ;) I'll keep you posted on any new developments.

Found a pediatrician...

Today Rudy and I went to Interlachen Pediatric's Open House, and chose them to be BT's pediatrician. Their office is very close to the house, the doctor's seemed incredibly nice, the facility looked great, and we were referred to them by two other people. Whew...there's one more thing off the to-do list ;)

Had another doctor's appointment today...

We are getting close now! They did a quick ultrasound to check BT's position and for now he's facing the right way :) I was also informed that I have to carry my records with me everywhere I go...just in case. :)

Had a 3D sonogram today...

What an amazing experience! He's absolutely adorable (yes, I know I'm biased), and has so much personality! It was wonderful, and made me even more excited about his upcoming arrival.

Felt the baby today in a new way!...

Today I felt little BT's foot or heel nudging me. It was so incredibly tiny that I started thinking about just how small he is, yet how big he's gotten in such a short time. Amazing!

Met with the doctor...

Met with my actual new doctor today: Dr. Durkee, and liked her (yay!). She gave me some medicine for my rib pain, but I'm going to try not to take it unless absolutely necessary.

Felt the first kick today!

Today, I felt little baby Thomas kick! What a cool feeling. Now I know that "thump" I felt last week was him. Today however it was strong and unmistakable...what a good baby!

First Sonogram Today!

Today we had our first sonogram, and let me tell you how incredibly awesome that was! We were able to see the sections of the brain, the heart beating, his arms, legs, spine, everything. He was moving around so much that it's very hard for me to believe that I haven't felt anything yet. Seeing him today was wonderful. I can't even express how I felt being able to see my baby for the first time. I can't wait until he gets here and I can hold him and play with him. I already love him so much! It's an amazing feeling being so close and loving someone so much and you've never even met them.

First OB appointment with my new doctor

Today I went to my first appointment with my new doctor. I had some issues with the first one. I didn't feel that she was very sympathetic, and in general I just didn't get any "warm fuzzies" when I went to see her. The place I went to today was great though. They were very thorough and spent quite a lot of time with me listening to the heartbeart, and answering all my questions. They have scheduled my sonogram for tomorrow and we are so excited!

First OB appointment

Today, Rudy and I went to our first OB appointment with Dr. Nancy Brown. We got to fill out tons of paperwork (yay!) and meet with the doctor. She tried to hear the baby's heartbeat, but unfortunately it's still a little early and he/she must not have been feeling in the mood, as we didn't get to hear it. Dr. Brown said not to worry though, that in two weeks when I go back, we should probably be able to hear it then. I can't wait!

We found out today that we're pregnant!

Went to the doctor today, and guess what...I'm 6 weeks pregnant! I have been feeling ill for about the last 3 weeks or so, so I decided to make the appointment and let the doctor tell me what we already knew.

Just a couple months ago I went in to discuss prenatal vitamins and ovulation, so when I saw my doctor today she said "Wow! back so soon?" After the business with the stick was completed, she told me to go and wait back in the room because it would take several minutes for the results to come back, but as soon as my bottom hit the chair she came running back in, waving the stick of course, yelling "Congratulations!". I was soooooo incredibly excited! To get that confirmation that I was in fact pregant and had a brand new life forming in side of me was breathtaking. I can't even describe the feelings that washed over me. I will definitely never forget that moment for the rest of my life.
